Bald rock National Park is 61km South East from Girraween National Park, just under an hours drive via Tenterfield. The water-streaked dome of Bald Rock is the largest granite rock in Australia. It is 750metres long, 500 metres wide and 200 metres high.

There are 17 km of walking tracks within Girraween National Park, ranging from a 1.4 km return walk to the Granite Arch to a 10.4 km return walk to Mount Norman. Most walks start near the visitor information centre and day-use area.

More experienced walkers with navigation skills can access an extensive fire trail network. A topographic map is required when using these remote tracks, none of which are described here.
Castle Rock and Bald Rock creek camping areas are in a pleasant open forest setting and both cater for tent camping as well as caravans, campers and motorhomes. (fees apply)
both camping areas have hot showers,
toilets, picnic tables, water (treat before drinking)
and barbecues. The Castle Rock camping area
amenities block has wheelchair access. Rubbish
bins are not provided and there are no powered sites.
This park has a self registration shelter for paying fees,
